Platinum
Head, initially formed by lead singer Brett
and guitarist Helbard Alkhassadeh in the late 1990s,
was hatched after Brett and Helbard left the band Prozaic
based out of Santa Cruz, CA.
A year after Prozaic broke up, Helbard picked up the
phone and contacted Brett, asking if he would like to
work on some recordings. They met in Helbard’s
studio in San Jose, CA, recorded several songs and decided
to begin performing again.. |
Helbard
contacted a former band member, drummer, Robert Molinar,
from the early 1990's Bay Area band Bane.Robert showed
up to the first band meeting with his friend, Dave Kempken.
It was soon discovered that Dave was a bass player and
interested in joining the band. Platinum Head was formed.
In 2003 Robert Molinar was replaced with Last Friday's
Generation's John Kirby. Jeff Okubo became Platinum
Head's drummer in the fall of 2004. Platinum Head is
preparing to release their first CD "Product" |
